Ground Rules
From Open NZ Wiki
Play Nice
We're grown-ups and should treat each other like grown-ups. That means:
- no abuse
- challenge the idea, not the person
- prefer a gentle suggestion to a harsh rebuke
We're all interested in making New Zealand's democracy better serve and represent its citizens. While we may disagree occasionally about the best way to do it, such disagreements should be civil.

How to use the Wiki effectively:
- Please register so there's a useful username against your edits. It'll help you build up a reputation as a useful contributor.
- Use the Discussion page to handle questions and conflicts, don't use the mailing list -- the Discussion page keeps the backstory handy for any newcomers.
- We'll need some form of conflict resolution, should we get people with wildly divergent views. If we get into the situation where two people want different things and it seems irreconcilable, Nat will play the role of a Wikipedia editor and make the tie-breaker. If I'm one of the parties in such a situation, Glen Barnes will be the tie-breaker. When serving in this role, Nat and Glen will clearly identify themselves as such. In all other situations, they're just their fallible selves--feel free to disagree with what we say.
